At Volunteers in Medicine in Schuylkill & Carbon Counties, we are committed to providing free primary healthcare services to the uninsured and underinsured residents of Pottsville, Tamaqua, and surrounding areas. Since our founding in 2021, we've been offering critical healthcare, including primary care, preventive care, and chronic disease management, to individuals who struggle to access medical services due to financial constraints or lack of health insurance. We are part of the Volunteers in Medicine national network, a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging healthcare gaps across the United States.
Our Pottsville clinic is conveniently located at 1 S. 2nd Street, open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays by appointment, while our Tamaqua clinic at 229 W. Broad Street is open on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We provide a wide range of services, including physical exams, diagnostic services, chronic disease management, and minor treatments. Whether you’re seeking urgent care or preventive services, our team of dedicated doctors, nurses, and volunteers is here to help.
We understand that health insurance is not always enough to guarantee timely access to care. That’s why we provide care to people who have insurance but are unable to meet high deductibles or find available doctors. With your support, we can continue offering these essential services to those who need them most. Call us today at (570) 623-1113 to schedule a n appointment or simply walk-in during our hours of operation.
